I modeled these chairs in Cinema 4D R20, pushing the limit on how low I could get the poly count without sacrificing visual quality since they're being used in VR walkthroughs. Breaking it down, the combined poly count for all models comes to 27,000, but if we exclude the wireframe chair model which clocks in at 9,900 polys, that leaves roughly 17,000 polys for the rest of the models. Not bad! What really ties everything together is their shared UV texture map – a whopping 2048x2048 beauty. This common thread also gives me more freedom to experiment with different textures and styles. On that note, you'll find: - A detailed RGB Image that's the main showstopper - A subtle Normal Map to give them some added depth - A Metallic Map for a healthy sheen in various lighting conditions - An Ambient Occlusion Map to hint at areas where they might have seen some real wear and tear - A Specular Map for the all-important highlight sparkle that catches the eye. So, what do you think? Do these virtual chairs measure up to your expectations?
