Low-Poly Squirtle Piggybank

Low-Poly Squirtle Piggybank

I created a unique remix of FLOWALISTIK's low-poly Squirtle and transformed it into a piggy bank. The inspiration behind this project came from jp_math, speakboylese/CarbonTwelve, who also designed Squirtle models, so I decided to create my own design. I used Meshmixer to design the model but faced difficulties creating a plug, which led me to use Tinkercad for that specific part. Unfortunately, while working on the model, I accidentally oversmoothed it too much, resulting in less sharp polygon edges than I had initially aimed for. However, since I was already far into the process, I didn't revisit and correct this issue. Additionally, one of the legs failed to create a cavity for an unknown reason, but given that my 4-6 year old nieces/nephews will be using it, they won't notice or care about this imperfection. The model printed well for me at a 90% Z scale and 0.32 layer height, requiring approximately 250 grams of filament over an 8.5-hour period. Due to my direct drive, I had to remove the top bar from my Ender printer for the last ten layers or so, but this didn't negatively impact the print quality.
