You might be wondering what connects Pokémon and 3D printing. Well, they both evolve! My latest project, the Low-Poly Squirtle, is a perfect example of this evolution. This design showcases the possibilities of dual and multi-extrusion 3D printers, taking the original Low-Poly designs to the next level. The multi and dual extrusion Low-Poly Squirtle has been completely redesigned and optimized for printing with two or more extruders. It's a more complex model, but easier to print, and it retains all the features of the original design, including no support material, infill, or prime tower needed. There are two versions of this model: Dual and Multi. The Dual version is divided into two parts, while the Multi version is divided into three or more parts, making it perfect for multiple extrusion 3D printers or color mixing techniques. This design is inspired by the world of Pokémon. If you're excited about this project, be sure to check out the print settings below: Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Notes: The model shown in the pictures was printed with an Ultimaker 3 using PLA filament, no support material, infill, raft, or prime tower. For better overhang results, I recommend lowering the layer height, using a cooling fan, adjusting print temperature and speed.
