Low-Poly Pikachu Bank
cults3d
Took the pikachu low poly model and enlarged it to make it a piggy bank size. I then took a slightly smaller enlargement took the claws and tail off and made a new body. Put it in the middle of the enlarged body, rescaled the x,y,z independently to make the sizing work (all the ratios are slightly different.) Then cut the one body from the other. The eyes then had holes so I had to reface the surfaces and enlarge, also cut the angle as there was a nasty ridge on the inside that wouldn't have print. Made a screw bottom (this was scaled slightly so it prints nice and screws in, so shouldn't have to be adjusted). Also, put a slot in the top. Also reinforced the tail and had to add a bit of a cylinder to ensure the coin screw was large enough (dont think you can really see it unless your looking at the bottom. This was a very long print at .16 with 20% infill, 50mm/s . Turned out really well I think. My son loves it.
