Turgoyak Lake is a major waterbody located in Chelyabinsk Oblast, just outside the city of Miass, Russia. Spanning an impressive 2638 hectares in surface area, its waters boast remarkable transparency, ranging from 10 to 17.5 meters deep. Water quality here matches that of renowned Lake Baikal. On Vera Island within the lake, archaeologists have uncovered a fascinating megalithic monument, alongside ancient monastery ruins. As a result, Turgoyak Lake has become a highly sought-after tourist destination, attracting visitors with its range of resorts and holiday camps.
