The Object 770, a heavy tank, was developed in Chelyabinsk Bureau in 1958 under the guidance of PP Isakov. The vehicle's motor installation was based on a diesel engine V-2, directed by D. Chudakov. Unlike the Object 277, this tank incorporated new features and unique design solutions. Featuring a frontal armor shell thickness of 120mm and a tower thickness of 290mm, it was armed with a 130 mm gun M-65, two-plane stabilizer Thunderstorm, and a KPVT gun. It carried 26 artillery rounds and 250 ammunition rounds. Powered by a 10-cylinder, four-stroke diesel DST-10 (1000 liters. With.) with water cooling, the crew consisted of just four members. The tank was equipped with a system for protection against weapons of mass destruction, fire alarms, thermodynamic equipment, night vision devices, and directional gyro.
