THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS Edit 1/24/16 I print two of improved mask version, shown in image above with text on it. I scale them down to about one inch squared using makerbot software. My settings are normal, first unoriented without support, second reoriented with support. They print out fine, although one without support has a wonky face and the other with support has a rough bottom not visible. I add a new file that extends the base to be more flat and prints upright without support. All prints take about 25 minutes each. I am using a makerbot replicator 2 with white PLA filament at 205C. Edit 1/23/16 I upload an improved version of helmet, both versions yet to be tested but the improved one looks better visually. Changes are made to forehead and back of helmet as well as mouth covering part. I begin work on the rest of the body too. Original post 1/22/16 This is my first creation and I am still learning 3D modeling so it may be upside down or not printable right now. I will print it soon and test with and without support, so for now this is just a file, I will update as soon as I test it out and add photos too. How I Designed This How did I make it? I use the 3D modeling software "Maya 2015" on my macbook pro with a separate mouse. I am still a beginner but I find this not to be too difficult.
