Low-poly Hyrulean shield

I spent 596 grueling hours crafting this detailed model, meticulously applying four high-resolution texture maps, each measuring 512 by 512 pixels. The diffuse map combined two essential components: albedo, which defines the object's color, and ambient occlusion (AO), which adds depth and dimensionality to the scene. I also carefully crafted separate maps for normals, metallicness, and roughness, ensuring a rich and immersive visual experience. This intricate process was fueled by my passion for digital artistry, and it all came together in just 7 hours of focused creativity. To bring this model to life, I relied on the power of Quixel and Photoshop, two industry-leading tools that allowed me to tap into my full creative potential. In Maya 2015, I carefully crafted every detail, and then took it a step further by baking normals and AO in xNormal, resulting in a truly breathtaking final product.
