Low poly Falcon Heavy - hollow exhaust
thingiverse
This remix of a remix owes its existence to [Doctorwatson's original idea](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2789542), and I extend my gratitude for creating this incredible piece! Then, [ThatDutchGuy's remix](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2806354) greatly simplified printing by breaking it down into 3 manageable parts suitable for multicolor printing or overcoming print volume constraints. However, a major issue arises with the exhaust being solid. Attempting to print it with 0% infill results in air printing at several points during the process, rendering it impossible to achieve correctly. This creates problems if you want to add an LED inside the exhaust for a glowing effect or desire semi-transparency without visible infill structures. To address this issue, I've created a remix as the solution! The exhaust has been hollowed out to allow conventional removable supports during printing. In fact, at 0.15mm layer height, I successfully printed it with minimal supports and a 5° support threshold (almost horizontal), resulting in an exhaust that's approximately 2mm thick. This enables scaling down or up as desired. The STL file is manifold and error-free, ensuring your slicer remains happy.
