I designed a massive project that was supposed to be straightforward, yet ridiculously daunting. Behold, a life-size mannequin, blown apart into individual components, each printed upright on a Replicator1 build plate. Surrender now, mortals who dare to take on this challenge. Warning: the accompanying dress-form.stl file is unusable! It's intended only as a preview of what your handiwork will look like when you finally manage to assemble it. Instructions for Despair 1. Print each of the 608 STLs individually. To do so, upload them one by one into ReplicatorG and align them horizontally, so their base edges meet the build plate. Once you've done that with all 608 files, you're free to arrange them as you see fit using MakerWare, Blender, OpenSCAD, or any other software you can think of. 2. Join the fragments together. Unfortunately, the filenames provided by Blender will offer no clues on how to assemble the parts in the correct order. If anyone out there possesses more expertise with Blender, please create a compatible derivative for us mere mortals. 3. Design some kind of stand to support your magnificent creation. 4. After months (or years) of grueling labor, admire your handiwork: a stunning mannequin meant solely for decorative purposes.
