Low Poly Dress Form
thingiverse
Create an intricate project that is conceptually simple yet challenging. Introducing a life-sized dress form, disassembled into 608 individual quads, designed to be printed standing up on a Replicator1 build plate. Be prepared for a major undertaking as you embark on this project! Note: The file 'dress-form.stl' is not printable; it's just a visual representation of the final product. To start printing, load each of the 608 STL files into ReplicatorG, aligning their bottom edges with the build plate. Once completed for all files, use MakerWare, Blender, OpenSCAD or any preferred software to arrange them as desired. Next, glue the pieces together. Unfortunately, the file names offer no guidance on assembly order; a more experienced Blender user might create a derivative work that simplifies this step. Finally, design and build a stand for your impressive, purely decorative dress form.
