The original Bucegi truck, a Romanian-built vehicle based on the Soviet ZIS-150, underwent significant changes in its subsequent versions. In 1960, the 3-ton load V8 SR-131 "Carpati" was introduced, followed by the 2.5-ton load, 4x4 transmission SR-132 model in 1962. The series was expanded in 1964 with the 5-ton load SR-113 Bucegi and the 4-ton load, 4x4 transmission SR-114. These trucks boasted Western technology features of the time and had multiple derivations like military vehicles, long vehicles, tip-lorries, cranes, forward cabs, torpedos, and prime movers. The payload capacity of the Bucegi truck increased from 3 to 5 tons with the introduction of the SR 113 model, featuring a French-designed cabin, Ford Y-block pattern V8 gasoline engine, and various gearbox and differential options.
