This project was conceived specifically for the Makerbot challenge on GrabCAD. I devoted a few extra hours outside of work to design it, which ultimately required around six hours in total, excluding rendering time. The entire model is now fully prepared for 3D printing with optimized wall thicknesses not exceeding 2mm and all components contained within the designated bounding box.
