Lovely Fidget Snap

This is a remix of the Lovely Fidget by 3d-Printy!
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5218651
I printed a couple of the magnetic hearts and loved the free and smooth movement of the loose peg option unfortunately the loose fit meant the heart would often fall apart mid twist when the magnets were not holding it together. I decided to try and make the two halves loosely snap-fit onto the peg.

I also made a hole version of each of the hearts for making them into pendants or keychains!

I tried uploading a zipped version of all the files but couldn't upload any zip files at all. I'll update if I can figure it out. In the meantime, I uploaded a step file with all parts inside.

Customization

Chose from six styles or mix and match!

Smooth

Smooth with hole

Ridges

Ridges with hole

Indent

Indent with hole

All styles come in two versions

6x3mm magnet hole

3x3mm magnet hole

Printing

All parts can be printed without supports.
I've printed several iterations and found the hearts can be printed hollow but they sound hollow when twisting. I preferred printing with infill between 15%-20%.
Good first layers are critical for the peg otherwise the fit might be tough and require a little bit of work to get a good fit.
I suggest you align the seam to the long diagonal of the heart, it will leave cleaner faces for the heart and oval display orientations. In cura use the "Z-seam position" and "Z-seam relative" setting to ensure the seam is optimal.
I prefer the results I get from printing one part at a time but if your printer is tuned well printing a batch should still look great!

Assembly

Glue magnets into the dedicated holes. Make sure the orientation of each magnet is set to attract the opposite side of the fidget - regardless of which shape it's in.
Allow some drying/curing time before bringing halves together, the magnets might slip out or bond together.
Snap-fit peg into each side and twist at least 10 times to confirm it works properly, then enjoy!

Updates
*2/13/22: asymmetry correction to RidgesHole_3mm_Snap
