Love Birds

I love you to the end of the universe and back. The "Love Birds" is a one-of-a-kind pair of swans, expertly crafted by my aunt for my parents over two decades ago. Intriguingly, they are composed entirely of betting slips - likely chosen because they were freely available - that have been meticulously folded and stacked by hand, resulting in an intriguing texture on both the exterior and interior surfaces of the swans. My hope is that by digitizing this distinctive model, it can be preserved indefinitely even after the betting slips have fully disintegrated. This pair of love birds was created through a process of duplication and reflection, where the completed swan was duplicated to form the heart shape. For the swan itself, a chunk encompassing the entire swan plus the top half of the cork board was merged with another chunk comprising the bottom half of the cork board. The cork board has a diameter of 4.5cm, while the maximum height of the swan measures approximately 17cm from the base of the cork board. This model consists of a total of 229 photographs taken using the Sony a6300 camera.
