Louvered Dryer for Boxing Glove
prusaprinters

This is an insert for a boxing glove, designed to make it stay open wider when not in use so that the sweat inside it can dry up. I use it for my Krav Maga gloves. Its dimensions are identical to Isaac Howard's dryer, but mine is ventilated with louvers instead of a lattice. This design has less surface area in contact with the glove, which may reduce trapped sweat.

Suggested Setup

Bottom layers: 0

Top layers: 0

Infill: 0%

Extrusion width: 120% of nozzle diameter¹

Perimeters: Just enough for walls at least 2.4mm thick²

External perimeters first³

Brim: 5mm⁴

Layer height: 50% of nozzle diameter¹

Seam alignment: Nearest

Supports: None

Notes

Larger extrusions tend to produce saggy bridges.

Thinner walls would weaken the adhesion between segments, which are attached only at their four corners.

Printing internal perimeters first may produce saggy internal overhangs.

Without a brim, the first layer may not adhere well to the bed.
