Loutrophore, Urn Greek
sketchfab
Loutrophoros, an ancient vessel from around 500-480 BCE, is on display at the Musée du Cinquantenaire in Brussels, Belgium, as captured with ReMake and ReCap software from AutoDesk. The Loutrophoros played a crucial role in transporting water used for purification rituals preceding weddings or funerals. In funeral rites, women would clean the body before anointing it with scented oils and dressing it to place on a funeral bed. Similar vases were also employed to commemorate graves or offerings.
