Loupe in a Box
thingiverse
I'm incredibly skilled at taking things apart. I once completely disassembled an old Practica lens and managed to save the main group of lenses intact. I now use that lens as a highly powerful magnifying glass, literally holding it in my bare hands. But when I got my printer, I decided to make a custom frame for it. Then I thought, why not create a nice box to go along with it? Here's the result. The box requires an acetone treatment because I sanded down its surface to give it a uniform finish. Unfortunately, I no longer have access to the SCAD file that originally designed the loupe frame.
