Loupe Hood

Loupe Hood

This groundbreaking project was pioneered by Roger Lacort of Florida State University's College of Communication and Information, using Tinker CAD as the platform for its initial development. Ren Saludo, a visionary at FSU iSchool/Innovation Hub, took the reins to refine the design in AutoCAD. The final iteration seamlessly integrates three key components: 1. A high-resolution monitor, specifically the SmallHD FOCUS 5" model; 2. A sturdy Monitor Cage designed by SmallRig, tailored to accommodate the 5" Focus cage; and 3. A versatile Loupe, namely the Compact HoodLoupe 3.2", although it's worth noting this particular model is no longer in production. The loupe hood securely fastens onto the loupe via a friction fit mechanism and is then attached to the monitor cage using velcro cable ties. Only the final stl file is being shared here.
