Louise Belcher is a precocious and mischievous 9-year-old girl who lives with her family in a small beach town. She loves to play pranks on her brother Gene, whom she considers to be annoyingly naive and gullible. Her other siblings, Tina and Gene, are both slightly older than her and often find themselves caught up in Louise's antics, which frequently involve causing chaos and mayhem around the house or neighborhood. Louise is a skilled artist and musician, and spends much of her free time drawing comics, playing her keyboard, or creating music videos for school projects. Despite her love of art and creativity, she also enjoys getting into trouble and often finds herself at odds with her parents, Linda and Jimmy Pesto, who try to keep her in line.
