Louie My Customized KeyChain
thingiverse
I am happy to report that the website Thingiverse is the home of this creation. I created it with Customizer, which can be found here: http://www.thingiverse.com/apps/customizer/run?thing_id=46704. Now, let me walk you through how to use these options: **ring_y = 35**: You are setting the Y position for the ring to 35. You set the X position for the ring at -10, giving it some movement on the page. The height of this object is 8 units, so adjust your printing accordingly. To display the words "Letters," you need a Font that matches its name; the dxf File named write/Letters.dxf works perfectly. **text2_y = -5**: This line places text two (you could change it to any string you desire) at Y-coordinate -5, as requested. **text1_x = -20**: You placed this in front of the text. Set text one X to 20 on your printer if possible The rectangle will be quite wide: **rectangle_width = 80** units Cut out holes where appropriate in the images that display a rectangle Use **8-point font size**, known as text1_size. This text scales twice as large with this function: **text2_size = 13** Use my custom code or modify the original for new image sizes, set the image_scale parameter to two. Don't do any adding since it's not desired in this situation This creation uses the width and height of the rectangle in proportion; both equal **rectangle_height** of 60. **Louie is one unique nickname for someone you're working on an engraving project with. To make the engraving truly your own, add that text right here. Just change "Louie" to whatever fits your project better. It was the year of **2014**: Use this year as a name. Set its thickness with a variable number and make sure it prints correctly Rotate the letter slightly counter-clockwise by setting the number (in degrees) of the rotate text1 to 350; now Louie isn't perfectly lined up. Now, add rotation for both "2014" in order that it stands upright. This will prevent it from sitting unevenly when mounted in a holder - you should put it at ten. Don’t make text very wide so use small values in thickness units and don’t be surprised when you have to remove the letters from an old photograph since these were left out; I chose numbers instead
