Loud, Nice Sounding Whistle (+128dB)

I created a super loud whistle that emits a constant, enjoyable tone. It's straightforward yet completely surpasses all specifications for the Make It Loud competition, and it works amazingly! This uncomplicated whistle easily reaches sound levels above 120dB. I measured its loudness in decibels with the very reliable Sound Shack decibel meter in an enclosed, quiet room. As a student, I was motivated to enter my best design and this is what I have to offer. Simplicity is truly beautiful. How I Designed This The Design Process After spending several weeks researching, I concluded that a whistle would produce the loudest noise for the print size and requirements set by the Make It Loud Competition. After making numerous more complicated whistle designs, I decided to try simplifying in order to get a higher noise level and a better sound. With this in mind, I created this simple yet incredibly loud, and still great sounding whistle. Custom Section Why I'm Entering Thingiverse's Make It Loud competition is an excellent 3D printing community contest that I believed I could participate in. As a high school student, my design abilities cannot match many professionals in the field, but this was a fantastic opportunity for me to make it loud and win some awesome prizes!
