A stunning lotus or rose was created as a gift, complete with brass leafs colored green and copper wire stems that oxidize in a brown-green tone. The copper stem was TIG-welded to stainless steel but required brazing due to size constraints. A 4/40 nylon acorn nut was used below the flower and at the top for realism. To achieve the thinnest, most delicate flower, five prints were made with a 1.7mm filament and extruded width of 0.0070. The envelope temperature needed to be set at 70°C for optimal results.
