Lotus Elise GPS mount
thingiverse
This project focuses on utilizing cup holder mounting points for securely holding GPS or phone devices in certain Lotus Elise/Exige models. The instructions provide details for using a TomTom suction mount, but other devices can be accommodated by modifying the mount carriage. First, acquire a Lotus with a cup holder provision and amend the mount accordingly. Then, print both the mount carriage and caddy. Next, cut two 6mm diameter aluminum tubes to approximately 240mm length and tap each end; one to 8mm and another to 30mm. Insert these tubes into the holes of the mount carriage and feed them through the caddy, attaching nuts and washers as needed. Finally, use two 5mm bolts (minimum length 25mm) to attach the device holder to the underside of the center console. Enjoy your safely mounted GPS or phone during your Lotus driving experience!
