I pulled the front grill from my Lotus Elise to refresh the finish, and discovered that all but one of the four clips had broken. This simple design seems to do the trick. Print with 100% infill using PETG; I used a Prusa MK3S, but I imagine that any FDM printer should do fine. It looks as if it needs support, but it printed fine on the Prusa without supports.
