Lotus Elise/Exige steering wheel badge emblem base

As cars age, the finish on airbag covers and steering wheel center emblems begins to deteriorate quickly. Refinishing the airbag with plastidip is relatively simple for many people who have done it before, but the emblem presents a greater challenge due to its semi-permanent attachment via metal tabs. Removing these tabs can be tricky, making it hard to install or even find a replacement. To address this issue, I purchased a stick-on emblem from Greg's Race Parts and designed a small adapter to secure it to the wheel, providing a flat and stable surface in the process. The adapter is firmly attached to the steering wheel using Shoe Goo, a flexible adhesive that ensures a strong bond. As a result, my car now has a sleek and attractive look.
