Designed by Shaun Austin and Jim Hartman, Lost Treasures is a game of strategy and skill where each player must build an elite team of adventurers to retrieve the treasure from a mysterious, ancient dungeon. One player handpicks his heroes from the noblest and most worthy races, while the other selects from the darker, more sinister denizens of the land. In their haste to claim the treasure first, however, players may inadvertently assemble parties that are woefully unprepared for the dangers ahead. The recruitment process is streamlined through a simple card system, where players carefully select their adventurers to join them on their perilous quest. Meanwhile, the Dungeon board comes to life as room tiles are randomly arranged, creating a unique and ever-changing landscape of twists and turns. Combat, magic, and other crucial actions are resolved with the roll of dice, adding an element of unpredictability to each game. Every tile in the game boasts two distinct features: the movement squares are carefully designed at 20 mm in size for precision, while the wooden door spaces feature a parquetry pattern that adds a touch of elegance, and the metal door spaces boast a rugged brick pattern that evokes a sense of danger and foreboding.
