Lost Throne & Decrepit Dais

I crafted this weathered throne on a raised platform to seamlessly integrate with my True Tiles and OpenForge dungeon components. This design boasts three iterations: a straightforward raised platform, a crumbling raised platform featuring moss or dirt spots modeled into it, and a version of the crumbling dais topped with a broken throne. The standalone raised platform is an excellent way to draw attention to a treasure chest, statue, or other item on display. The ruined throne makes for a fantastic setting for a humanoid enemy dwelling within your dungeon. Meanwhile, the intact dais can double as a stage for your tavern bards to perform. Whatever use you have in mind for these pieces, I encourage you to have fun and share your paint jobs with the community. Post-Printing As a general rule, I recommend starting with a light sanding around the edges of the piece and then applying a black base coat. After that, feel free to get creative! The sample shown was painted with Vallejo Model Colors and shaded with Citadel Nuln Oil. I do not advise using a clear coat, but if you still want to add one, Testors Dullcote is a good option. To achieve the desired gray gradient on this piece, I applied three coats of mixed color. The first coat was a very dark gray, followed by a lighter brushing of medium gray, and finally topped off with a dry brushing of light gray before highlighting with white. For the moss, I used intermediate green, lime green, and desert camouflage shades. The gemstone was painted with cerulean blue.
