Losi Tenacity SCT GoPro Mount

THIS THING IS NOW ON MyMiniFactory AND SHALL BE UPDATED THERE ONLY https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-99897 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- First thing I needed for this SCT was a GoPro mount. As usual, I couldn't find one, so here it is. Two parts make up the mount: the main unit and a supportive bracket that holds the tail in place when bashing about. The mount is strong enough to lift from the curved section (as seen in images). Depending on your printer and material quality, you may need to adjust settings to prevent snapping or straining your print. The mount makes it possible to get decent FPV footage (without damaging the shell) such as some of the clips from below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ewpua9ZcZTM For a higher versatility print with a higher infill, mine is 50% with PLA at a layer height of 0.3mm, which will take any shock and vibrations. However, it may break off if you roll onto it, so be aware of that when out recording - bring a spare. 1. To print this, lay the main mount at an angle so the tail and head touch the build plate; this way, you'll need less support material. The secondary part can be printed as desired. If you want to follow my setup, see the screenshot in the provided images of how mine is laid out in Cura. My settings were PLA, 0.3mm layer height, wall thickness of 1mm, 50% infill, 60-degree overhang angle for supports, and a brim of 5mm to help some of the finer supports adhere. 2. Once printed, remove all support material and clean up any edges. You'll need three M5 bolts (20mm long or more) with three M5 nuts. Two will go on the tail bracket and one on the GoPro mount. If the holes aren't big enough, take a drill and a 5mm bit to gently enlarge them. Gluing the nut into the premade holes helps but can be left loose if you want to reuse them later. 3. On the Tenacity, adjust the rear body mount posts so there's additional spacing for the mount. If unsure, refer to the images provided of how mine is set up. 4. Place the body back on and put the tail end on first; slide the bracket in from the back. It should fit snugly but if it's off, sand down the edges and begin tightening the bracket until it clamps onto the rear bumper. Don't overtighten or you may damage the mount. 5. Now that the tail is firmly in place, push the body mounts down over the posts and pin them with clips. There should be enough space to easily put the clips in; if not, check the images if your posts match. 6. Screw on your GoPro (or other compatible camera) and tighten the bolt into the nut on the other side. If it's loose, try using insulation tape to layer up the slot.
