If you're looking for a high-performance racing truck, this isn't the project for you. I recently upgraded my LOSI list to transform it into an FPV rover, and I'm thrilled with the outcome. The nitro motor and associated components were meticulously removed, and the gearbox was expertly modified to allow only forward motion. A Mabuchi 12-volt, 12,000-rpm motor powers this innovative vehicle, boasting a can size of 35.66 x 57.2mm. To secure the gear to the motor, I employed a collet-style propeller adaptor, ensuring a sturdy connection. To safeguard my camera and other equipment, I utilized 12mm composite tubes between the shock tower body posts as rails. These tubes not only provide protection but also serve as a convenient mounting system for my Fatshark cam and pan-tilt setup. As this project is still in progress, I've successfully tested the motor mount and gears, confirming that the factory motor mounting holes are perfectly spaced.
