Introducing "Listen Through Sight": Affordable Voice-to-Text Glasses I'm excited about this project because it allows me to design a product that personally resonates with me. Inspired by my younger brother, who lost hearing in one ear after an accident, these glasses combine technology and accessibility. This design is dedicated to him and others facing communication challenges. The innovative glasses feature voice recognition, converting speech into text displayed on a prism glass via LED projection. Lightweight and versatile, they can be used for any auditory communication, not just visual media. Given current technology advancements, manufacturing these glasses is both easy and cost-effective. Key components include: * Bluetooth for smartphone connectivity * Voice control for settings adjustment * Mic and voice-to-text module * Chargeable battery (charging port not shown) * LED projector (affordable and efficient) * Injection-molded lens with built-in prism glass * Reflective film (similar to sunglasses) * Power button * Adjustable case for wear or holding * Silicone grip for secure wearing * Optional hearing aid device integration Manufacturing costs are estimated between $30 and $70, depending on materials and production processes. Research and development expenses may vary among producers.
