As a kid growing up, I was always sketching out wild car designs. Fantastic re-creations of Hotwheels or imagined hot rods were my specialty. Moving into Highschool, my independent studies class in Drafting was all about designing various modes of transportation - cars, tractor trailers, and boats. When I stumbled upon Tinkercad, I felt like a kid in a candy store - anything is possible. Here's one example of my thoughts on Auto Design: meet the LOREN V1. This sleek race coupe (in street trim) was heavily influenced by Cobra's, Karma Ghia's, and 1960's Lemans cars. A mid engine design paired with an exotic "Appleman" transaxle is the perfect combo. Large diameter alloy wheels mimic vintage Halibrands - I can only imagine the roar of the V-8 through the straight exhaust as this short wheel base coupe grapples with a corner, clutching for traction. I welcome your comments as this is one of few original designs I've shared. If you request it, I'll complete a race inspired interior to match. About the Model: It's roughly 1/10 scale and can be split into sections to print on any printer. All separated parts have a .02mm clearance for a snug fit when assembling - the transaxle / exhaust will have to be glued in place as it is not indexed. If you download a copy, please leave a comment! I'd love to hear your thoughts. If you print out a LOREN V1, share some pics - I'm dying to see one in real life! Thanks for checking this out, Shawn
