Lorei Filament Cooler
thingiverse
I designed a set of fans for the extruder and another for the filament on my Lorei 3D printer. The second fan blows air but unfortunately hits the heater block too, resulting in insufficient airflow to the actual filament. I discovered some filament coolers for the Lorei that replaced the entire fan arm, but I wanted to maintain the external appearance of my printer. So, I created this custom solution! Simply print it and use the same screws holding the fan, positioning it behind the existing one to preserve your printer's exterior look. UPDATE - 2019-02-14 A new version has been uploaded, incorporating small improvements: Larger air opening Reduced angle for more efficient airflow Lowered air opening. UPDATE - 2019-01-05 A new version is available on Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3336513 Print Settings Printer XMachines Lorei Duo Rafts Doesn't Matter Supports Yes Resolution 0.2 Infill No Need Notes I printed this part using S3D, rotating it 150 degrees around the X-axis. You can print it with or without support material; however, it prints better with support. Due to its proximity to the heater block, avoid using PLA.
