This is a Lord of the Rings - Gandalf vs Balrog Lithophane I created. I used Photoshop for sizing and color, ensuring each image fits perfectly in my custom frames. Dimensions are 177mm x 126.5mm. DO NOT RESIZE LITHOPHANES IN YOUR SLICER! If you want a different size, it's best to resize the B&W image first, then create a new STL at lithophanemaker.com or https://tool.itslitho.com. You can use the same settings as I did, just tweaking for size. Also, keep in mind that different filaments have varying levels of transparency. These settings worked well for Esun Cool White PLA+, with Min .6 Max 2.8. This one was created using https://itslitho.com/, with settings visible in the pictures. I used Mark Gonsowski's Lithophane Profile, which is included in this download package. The only things you may need to change are Retraction settings and sprint speed, as well as switching to 1.2mm layers instead of 1.0. Cura 4.4.1 was used for printing on my Ender 5, with a print time of 19 hours at 45 mm/sec. Size is 126.5mm x 177mm (5x7). I mounted mine in a custom lithophane box and lit it using a LED Flame Bulb. Here's the video: https://youtu.be/HDVnA7CEfgQ. ***Information from Mark about his lithophane profile*** Taken from https://www.gameon3d.com/downloads-links: - If you're using both my night light profile and Thomas Brooks Lithophanemaker to generate a night light STL, you'll need to add bottom layers only if you increase the "adapter thickness" to a value greater than the default 1.8 mm. For example, increasing from 1.8 to 2.0 requires adding two more bottom layers with a .1 layer height. - Some other Cura settings you may need to change depending on your filament and printer setup/calibration are temps, retraction speed/distance, and flow.
