Lord George Cavendish at The National Portrait Gallery, London
myminifactory
This marble bust, carved in 1848, was created by Thomas Campbell (1790-1858). The sculpture captures Lord George Cavendish Bentinck (1802-48), a distinguished statesman and sports enthusiast. He also held prominent positions as an English Conservative politician and owner of several racehorses, notably known for his role alongside Benjamin Disraeli in defeating Sir Robert Peel over the Corn Laws. This individual must not be confused with George Bentinck MP, a contemporary. This object is part of "Scan The World," a non-profit project initiated by MyMiniFactory, aiming to build a digital library of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from around the world for public access at no cost.
