LoRa Mailbox Sender

LoRa Mailbox Sender

I go home for lunch every day and stop at the mailbox, but most of the time there's nothing inside. The mailman hasn't arrived yet and I have to come back later that day. If he has passed by and I didn't get any mail, I still don't know and need to check again at the end of the day. Even if my wife picks up the mail before I do, I'm wasting time stopping for nothing during lunch. That's why I came up with a device idea that can detect whether the mailbox is open or just my own box. It sends a LoRa signal to my receiver at home, which is about 300 feet away from the community mailbox. If you need to adapt this for your own use, the STEP file is available in the "Thing File" on Thingiverse.
