Loose filament holder
prusaprinters

No, Josef, no!

Before building my new Prusa Mini+ I watched the build instructions and calibration and first print video from the man, the legend, the printer: Josef Prusa. In the latter video Josef performs a big no-no. At 3:13 he appears to have a few meters of fine Prusament filament in his hand to test the first calibration print and at 3:15 it is gone!

Where did it go? Careful investigation of the video shows Josef throwing the filament on the floor! No Josef, that is not what your mother taught you! This way dust will stick to your filament ending up in the hot-end and ruining your prints.

What the man needs is a friend with a 3d-printer so that he can print this loose filament holder. It is a two-part piece. One part sits on top of the z-axis motor and the other slides into the slot and can hold a loose amount of filament.

Why a two piece part? So other pieces can be used such as a toolholder, a small camera or maybe a small light to shine on your prints.
