Loomshuttle
thingiverse
I've created a special shuttle that fits perfectly on my 40 cm wide table loom, which I built from scratch using a lot of 3D printed parts - you can see the pictures to get an idea. The pin is made from 2 mm welding wire, costing around €0.49 per meter, and I drilled a hole for the hinge pin to 2 mm in diameter using the same wire. Cutting it with my Dremel was a breeze. To print the shuttle, I laid it out topside down without supports, and I highly recommend adding a brim for better adhesion. It took me 7 hours to complete on a 0.2 mm layer height at 50 mm/sec print speed. This design was created with Tinkercad, and you can edit it online at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/gyG2yqaOZeH
