This is V2 of the automated "Looming Terror" See it in action here: https://youtu.be/AYJ8g3pMrX4 The automated version is available here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3420083 This handcranked model requires no special equipment except for a larger band to secure it on your wrist. A hollow Qtip with a 1.75mm piece of filament inserted serves as the guide rail. I designed and built this one from scratch, without using any remixes. It fires 35 rounds and features a "neutral" zone at the start for easier loading. The speed reload option is also available with multiple loaded barrels. No supports are required during printing. Crankbody 1 and Crankbody 2 must be printed flat to achieve smooth movement. Refer to all reference pictures for correct bed orientation. All components can be printed at a layer height of 0.2mm with an infill of 15-20%. I experienced problems only with the larger gear, which I eventually printed at 100% accuracy. Some filing is necessary on the gears due to the complexity of bevel gears. Vaseline or grease is required for smooth gear mesh during assembly. However, using these substances requires gluing some parts together, as snapfit functionality is lost when they become greasy. Exercise caution when applying glue. The 3D model for the rail is slightly longer than in my video demonstration. I attached mine to the body before completing the design edits.
