You're all familiar with the issue of roadbike plastic cleats - their front little anti-slip rubber part is the first thing to wear out. For me, commuting to work by bike means a lot of walking and starting/stopping. Normally, the rubber part wears out after six months, but the cleat itself remains fine. I designed the front rubber in CAD and printed it with TPU filament. Printed at 0.1 resolution, they last a little longer. To attach the new rubber part to the cleat, you need to flat sand the front surface where you want to glue it. You also have to sand or roughen the surface of the printed TPU part. My best experience was combining the parts with CA glue (Sekundenkleber). Leave the cleats on your shoes, but be cautious when using CA glue! Take 2 minutes to prepare your cleats before gluing them in place - you won't regret it.
