Longshot Stripper Breech

Longshot Stripper Breech

I'm taking out my Longshot breech for a spin, holding it firmly by the sled attachment point, when suddenly the breech snaps away from the sled and tooth, leaving me with no intention of removing it from the bit anytime soon, which sets off my anger. So I decide to ragequit the project. My math teacher overhears me ranting and offers to print out a new one for me. I grab this opportunity and dive into rageCAD mode (that's a verb), resulting in this stunning part. I must say, transcribing it was lightning-fast - a record I think even the speediest typists would envy. But, despite its speed of creation, my design doesn't meet the parameters exactly; the tube length needs to be precise for it to function flawlessly. I plan on refining it when my rage subsides and calm returns to my demeanor. Update: My anger is somewhat alleviated, but the part still has some major flaws. I decide to put my newly printed part through its paces, testing its integrity with thorough checks. The results? Well, it's not perfect - far from it. I've learned a crucial lesson about designing parts: accuracy is everything. One thing is certain, though: with every iteration of this project, I'm refining and perfecting the design to achieve absolute flawlessness. Regarding print settings: I opt for rafts (yes/no): no supports (yes/no): yes Resolution: I choose 'good enough', knowing it might not be sufficient. Infill: I want my part strong, so I settle on 100% ragefill (no infill option exists). Notes to self: ABS filament works well with the original Longshot design; if available, PLA will work fine. This iteration, the V2 model has some issues staying securely attached to the build plate. Design refinement note: When designing, be aware of the mesh coefficient scale: scaling it by 107% can cause separation and structural weakness, so ensure that coefficients are accurate in your model to avoid such problems in future iterations
