This is a major version of the model, for an easier and more mobile-friendly version click here. Photogrammetric 3D model of Longerak power plant. The model was created using 842 photos, including 240 from a drone and the rest from ground level. The model was developed in collaboration with Norsk Vasskraft- og Industristadmuseum, NVE's Museum Program, and Tom Davies. Learn more about the project here. Longerak power plant is from 1916 and was built by the state to supply electricity to a sanatorium and general public. The power plant was taken over by NVE in 1925, Aust-Agder Kraftverk took over operation in 1962, and since 2001 Agder Energi owns the power plant. The building is called the fairy tale castle in the forest and was designed by architect Kristian Hjalmar Biong. The power plant has a blending style with natural stone and resembles a medieval castle in miniature format.
