*Works with Orange 10, Orange 30, and Orange 4K * **YOU MUST DRILL 3x 1/8th HOLES IN THE FRONT FACE OF YOUR PRINTER** Now that that’s out of the way... this is a bolt on version, of the 45degree touchscreen mod that someone else posted here... I’m not a fan of hot glue, especially on something that’s sticking off the face of my printer, and holding the touchscreen controls to the whole unit. So I changed some things to make it bolt-on... this will fit the orange 10, orange 30, and from what I’m seeing on the orange 4K, it’ll fit that one too.... Instructions: Print the cover/faceplate, body, and screw jig.. in the body, insert the 2x, m3, heat set inserts, in the 2 ears from the inside of the body, so the screws would be trying to pull the insert all the way through, instead of back out the way you put them in, follow me? Then flip it over and put the 3rd heat set insert in the bottom, center, hole... by nature of the design, Your not able to put the insert so you’d be pulling it with the screw, so just don’t cinch down on that screw. I didn’t feel like I needed heat set inserts in the top screw holes where the screen attaches, I planned to just thread the screw in the plastic, but after the fact, I decided to use them... you can go either way, just screw into the plastic (m3’s) or, open the holes up a bit for the heat set insert (11/64 drill bit) Set that aside and take your printer apart, the pictures show the orange 30 procedure first, followed by the orange 10 procedure... The O10 is simple, take the 4 screws from the front plate - remove - unscrew screen - lay it right in there, no need to take cables apart - mark your faceplate with the screw jig, drill your holes - install body - put plate back on, pull screen through the hole - attach screen cover The O30, theres a bit more to it..the pictures help illustrate.. take the small access cover off, on the right side of the machine, and unplug the ribbon - take whole top off (6x m3 screws) - when you pull it up, do it slow, cables still attached - unplug the jst connector in the back left, from the pcb, so you can turn the column and sit it down on the left side, facing the left - now you can work.. - detach screen ribbon from pcb - unscrew screen - place hole jig, mark, and drill your holes - attach body - attach screen and cover - plug in screen ribbon - pick up your column and plug the jst connector back in - close top - plug your other ribbon back in, in the access cutout. I offset the hole jig up 1mm from the bottom. drill them with 1/8th drill bit There ya go... pretty simple, and it’s necessary I think... they should come this way from the factory...
