I was tweaking an adaptation of the Open Brushless Gimbal when MikeyB reworked it for Crossfire. Since I've got a budget-friendly Denver action cam, I had already printed Toto99303's case. But when I discovered that the designs weren't compatible due to opposite screw mounts for the servo, I decided to remix them. I noticed that most gimbal designs expose the camera and leave it with little protection from impacts or rough landings. The 'bulletproof' casing of my action cam appealed to me though. To make it better, I lengthened one of MikeyB's arm designs by 2 cm. Instead of using the hole for the servo axis, it's now where you screw in your tripod. This is a more universal solution than separate cases for different cameras. My only concern is that the camera's now off center from the drone a bit. The photograph illustrates the concept: just print two sets of arms and attach the housing to one of them. Once my servos arrive, I'll put it all together.
