Longboard Stand - 3 Piece
thingiverse
grahneric provided an excellent design that was too big for my 200x200x200 printer. This is a factor of the width of longboard wheels, and the print would not have been functional if I had merely scaled it down. I really liked the one-piece design, but realized I'll have to create a strong bar and joint if I were to use this design. Luckily, he provided the original Fusion 360 file with his Thing. I basically removed his original, sleek bar design, and placed solid 25x30x30 boxes at the base of each stand, facing each other. I then created a 25mm wide 'I' shaped bar that intersected and cut into these blocks so that they would form a solid joint. I decided to do this instead of cutting into the original stand's base, to increase strength and also to shorten the separation and 'I' bar length for my printer. The dimensions I chose for that cross bar may be a little over-engineered, but I think it ended up looking decent.
