Longboard light
thingiverse
It's getting darker, so I decided to attach some light to my longboard. This is my solution using two Xanes lights. The lighting is pretty good, and my board definitely gets noticed when riding in the dark. I designed it in two parts - one printed with 90% infill and the other with 30%. I used Slic3r for this. Update: I added a third version which combines both parts. You can print it at 30% and it will hold up fine. In Slic3r, load the body called "Xane-b-bottom.stl" - then go to settings and load modifier. That's where you'll load the other body called "Xane-b-top.stl" and move it into position above the "Xane-b-bottom" part. When you print it, insert the lamp into the holder and place some rubber between the light and the deck to prevent rattling noise. Use the screws from your truck to fasten the holder to the deck. Save your ride!
