Longboard

Hi everyone, I'm thrilled to announce that I've just completed my second major project. My girlfriend has been eyeing a longboard, so I took on the challenge of building one for her. I borrowed a longboard from a friend and started by measuring it carefully. Then, I began designing the prototype, which was ready within a week. Now, I'm proud to show off the final version, and I'd love to share it with you all. In preparation for this project, I set up an extra workspace, so you can choose the perfect desk for your longboard. I also have access to an aluminum foundry, which allows me to use 3D printed parts as molds for casting. According to my simulations, XT20 could be a suitable alternative, but I haven't had a chance to try it yet – if you'd like to give it a shot, please let me know! So, what do you need to build your own longboard? To buy: * 4 wheels with bearings * 2 M8 nuts * 1 M10 x 65mm bolt * 1 M10 nut * A damper * Bearing plastic * An 8mm rod (I used this size and created threads on both ends) * Sets of nuts and bolts specifically designed for longboards As it turns out, I bought an inexpensive longboard just to harvest parts from it – not the most elegant approach, I know! To make: * 2 body part 1 pieces * 2 body part 2 pieces * 4 ring components * A desk (I used 13mm plywood for this project) If my creation brings a smile to your face, I'd love to hear any tips or suggestions you might have!
