Long Sword v2
thingiverse
If you are reading this then the great cleanse has occured, I am slimming down my thingiverse files so that it's easier to manage version control across multiple websites. all files are still available for free (shouldn't need an account) on patreon/affini3This is my favourite sword layout it's nice and simple, I find both 4 and 5 blade-segments work really well, so if you have longer arms go for 5, for the grip just print twice. for a added texture if you print with fuzzy walls 1.2mm length and 0.2mm height works quite well, but feel free to try out some other sizes. If you want to play around with different shaped grips, the patreon has a post with 12mm single core grips, standard is roughly a 4cm x 2cm grip, fat means 10% bigger, thin means 10% smaller. and there is a bunch of spacers to avoid having sharp edges or to add decorations mid grip. For strength so you can swing it around there is a 13mm channel running throughout the sword allowing either a 12mm or a half inch dowel to run through the middle, my local hardware store has them.there is a picture of the variations, 2x blades, 3x crossguards and 3x pummels15/11/24 So i'm terrible at self promotion, so only realised that only my latest posts have any info about this, but many people asked me if they could request models or if i had a patreon, so I went out and made one. I'm still amazed that I get tips from this website as I've done all of these because I want to make them, and as I get better at modelling I scrap what I've made and make it better. So, this is my advertisement for my patreon page affini3 whilst I've been a bit quiet for October because of a house reorganisation, I'll be back to posting new designs on there first before posting them here and other sites. Also you can help steer where designs go. Thank you
