Long LEGO display shelf for Skadis.

LEGO compatible plates to display several minifigures for IKEA's Skådis board. The LEGO shelf is 160 mm long, and if you want an even longer shelf, you can put several of them next to each other.For the LEGO pieces to fit well, there are small tolerances. 5/100 mm can be the difference between the pieces being fixed or loose. The measurements I have chosen are 5.0 mm in diameter for the studs and 8.0 mm distance between the studs.Installation The LEGO shelf is mounted on the Skadis board using T-nuts that is made to fit M3 screws. T-nuts ensure a strong and secure hold and are easy to install and remove by using a screwdriver. The LEGO plates are available in two different versions, one with countersunk holes and the other with flat holes, depending on the type of screws you use.  The screws that you will need to use should be about 15 mm in length.Place the screw in the T-nut through the holes in the LEGO shelf and screw it in until the T-nut is about 2-3 mm from the back of the LEGO shelf, insert the T-nuts vertically through the Skadis holes, then as you tighten the screw the T-nut will turn and lock the LEGO shelf to the board.You can find and download the matching T-nut here: Skadis T-nut for M3 screw.Printing and print settingsIn the model files, the parts are orientated in the direction best suited for printing. Use PLA for printing with a layer height of 0.2mm or less and a nozzle width of 0.4mm or less. A wall thickness of at least 3 lines and an infill of 25%.
