London Tower Design No. 65
thingiverse
In my exploration of The Public Domain Review, I discovered an assortment of creative entries from a 1890 London Tower Design Competition. This is the start of my series interpreting these concepts, which I've dubbed "The London Tower Project". Inspired by the Eifel Tower in Paris, the competition produced various innovative ideas; however, only DESIGN No. 37 by Stewart, McLaren and Dunn was chosen for construction in Wembley Park. Despite this, issues with foundation and funding led to its abandonment in 1892, and the structure's removal in 1905. The other designs, however, remained unrealized until now - my project brings these imaginative visions to life for the first time. To view more designs, visit http://bit.ly/DesignALondonTower.
